I’ve concluded that the issues I was experiencing were caused by the theme I was using. Some similar issues showed up in other plugins. Am resolving myself at this point.

I had the same problem
Change the background color by putting this in the plugin’s settings > extra CSS

body > .main-container:after {
content: “”;
display: block;
top: 0;
bottom: 0;
left: 0;
right: 0;
background-color: #FFF;
opacity: 0.4;
z-index: -1;
position: absolute;
}
