Seems better than most

  • I am trying to optimize for Google PageSpeed Insights. I tried a few plugins and this one seemed to give me the best gain for both mobile and desktop. And I got the biggest boost for desktop. The one area that seems to off is the before and after estimations that the plugin reports. It is actually reporting higher than actual for the “before” optimizations. This can give you the false notion that you don’t need to optimize. The before and after estimations were nearly identical (both too high). However, when testing with PageSpeed and others, this plugin did actually significant speed up the results and lessened the recommended fixes. So it is a very good plugin.

    Indeed, our website try-before-you-install testing tool isn’t 100% accurate. That’s because we can only test one standard set of settings on the server for each website, and not all the countless combinations that are possible with the plugin itself. Usually it’s possible to achieve a higher score with the actual plugin when the best combination of settings can be tailored for the specific website’s needs.

    Btw, we’re naturally curious on how we can improve, ie what would it take to make this into a 5-star review? ??
