• Hi,

Here is my goal: To be able to monitor a large number of feeds, select interesting posts, and bring them into WordPress as drafts. I want to then tweak the headlines and summaries but keep the permalink to the original post. Ideally, related information would be accessible when I publish the snippet, e.g. the name of the source blog and its homepage.

The interface for monitoring and reading the blogs does not need to be in WP; it could be Google Reader, Netvibes (my current homepage), or something else. I would like an efficient way to scan many blogs and pick out the good stuff.

I’ve taken a look at several tools already:

    – WP_Autoblog — seems like a spam plugin and supports only *automatic* republishing, not bringing in posts as drafts

    – ReBlog — might work well, but it’s so horribly documented that I can’t get it to work. I’m also skeptical that a plugin/hack that’s so old is truly the best way to go about this.

I haven’t tried Feedwordpress because the plugin page is down.

    Any suggestions much appreciated. Thanks!
