Seeking a Great Magazine Theme That Can Pull in External Images

  • I’m looking for a great magazine style theme that can pull in images from external sites, and display them as thumbnails in the front page. I want to have a front page that displays latest news in five or six categories. I’m using the commercial theme “Transcript” for another site, and this is exactly the effect I want. But Transcript will only work with images that are uploaded to each wordpress post. Does anyone have any suggestions? I’m willing to consider reasonably priced commercial options!

    I have the Gabfire WP AdvNewspaper theme if you would like to try it out.

    I’m currently trying to set up my site using the Gabfire transcript theme, but am having a few issues – do you have a working transcript theme on one of your sites?

    The problems im having is the featured content block is displaying the post text directly underneath the image and so it’s being covered by the black post title box – for other posts within the featured section, the title block is pushed down.

    Another problem is the thumbnails – they display fine on the front page, but when i click on a post there is no image displayed.

    I’m guessing there’s something im not doing, but the included installation pdf was very basic to say the least.

    Any help you could give would bge greatly appreciated
