• When we click in a team on table league or matchs list, we always have complete list of matchs for that team, if we have this team in system for a few years its impossible to see the matchs because its too long.

May we have to see only the matchs for the league that we click on team in that moment ?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Thanks for reaching out!

That would require a lot of custom code. That’s because the team page itself is just one, so you’ll need to add a new parameter to the league table, then process this parameter in your team page.

    Thanks!

“That’s because the team page itself is just one” : It′s a problem when a team have a lot of matchs, see this page: https://adorofutebol.com.br/time/ceara/

    Hi almirocunha

The team page isn’t one for each competition so that’s the main edit you need. The page you’ve sent us has a fatal error, probably due to a large number of events.

This has to be limited in your theme, by creating custom team pages to allow smaller chunks of information to be loaded (just one competition, or a list of competitions by default).

    Thanks!

    How can i do this?
    Where?

    Hi!

Unfortunately, this requires more custom code than we can provide. You’ll need to hire a developer to help you with that.

    Thanks!

I can see us getting a similar problem over the next year or so. We have events going back to 2014 so for our club we have a lot of events in the system (around 50 per season). For the other teams (our opposition throughout the season) we only add 2 events per season (when we play them home and away).

I can see this being a problem for a lot of clubs as more and more events are added. If Sportspress will always show tha maximum amount of events possible then more and more sites will start to break.

I would suspect the easiest solution would be to have a “maximum matches” parameter within the Sportpress config. That way each site could set the number of matches they want to show. So, when you clicked on a club they’d only show as many matches as defined on the “maximum matches” parameter.

Or, as a workaround you could display the matches using a shortcode on the club profile.

So, within the Sportspress config | Clubs switch off “Matches” from the layout. Then go to each club profile and insert the Matches short code – this will achieve the same thing but the advantage is the short code allows you to specify how many events you want to show.

    Hi Andy!

That’s a great idea! Please consider adding it to our ideaboard:
    https://tboy.co/ideas

Your shortcode idea is also a good one, it’ll probably be the best solution for now.

    Thanks!

Hi, thats a good idea by i prefer only show the matches from the current season, what do you thing about that?

    Hi!

If you want to hide all past seasons you can use our event list shortcode in your team page:
    https://support.themeboy.com/article/105-event-list-shortcode

The downside is that this is a manual process and you’d need to do that for all of your teams.

Yes, i think it will work, but where a put this?

its the same for all teams ?

    (@rochesterj)

    Hi!

You’ll need to create a calendar for each of your teams and add that in the content box for your teams.

Then you can hide the other league tables.

Each team will have its own shortcode and its own calendar.

    Thanks!

Thanks for your response, but a still have doubts.

You’ll need to create a calendar for each of your teams – OK

and add that in the content box for your teams – Where is it?

Then you can hide the other league tables – How?
