• Of the number of issues I have with Gutenberg a big one is the inability to see the block boundaries. Especially a problem with more complex blocks, and those which are third party (e.g. some Ultimate Blocks)

If you can’t tell what you’re selecting it really confuses you, and slows your work down. I understand the WYSIWYG idea, but it’s been taken too far.

Is there a way to show the block boundaries so I can see exactly what I’m dealing with?

    Hey Jeffrey

Click Esc and it will change to the select mode (select mode under the pencil icon in the top Gutenberg bar next to the blue box with a + in it) where the boundaries show up. In select mode one sees the various boundaries. To quickly get out of select mode and back into edit mode double click when a block is selected and one can edit the contents again.

    Hopefully that helps a bit!
