  • I’d rather see this fixed as well, however, this security issue can be only “used” by authenticated users. So the attack would need to come from the inside. And the things an attacker could do are pretty limited. So if you trust your colleagues and your site does not allow anyone to register, the risk is significantly lower.

We are thinking about switching to another plugin due to this vulnerability, hoping to hear from the dev soon….

I just found out about this. Why isn’t the dev even responding???

My website coder said b/c it’s re: an internal authentic user (meaning they have to have a p/w), it’s not really a vulnerability, but why aren’t the devs responding???

Still no response & I’m pretty sure I emailed them too.

Still no response from the developers. I uninstalled the application.

    Hi Jennifer,

I already checked, & they are completely closed down & they had many plugins, not just this one. If you go to their community platform, you can’t even start a new thread or comment.

    It’s a huge shame, b/c I loved this plugin.

I’ve searched high & low for something that can replace it for free.

Most are too expensive or charge for stupid things like categories.

I’m trying out Better Links (you can tell the I sent you), but we are having issues importing all of the URL shortner links & I had to hire someone to add in all of the categories b/c URL shortner didn’t have ANY real export feature, my website coder had to go into the DB to get it & it wasn’t easy. He had to export the DB table, whatever that means.

The import isn’t working so we are working with them to try & get it resolved.

Guys & Gals – we switched to “Better Links” and it seems to work well.

They push heavily to buy the Pro, but a little CSS and you can remove all the annoyances.
