I’ve been struggling with the path. I’ve tried with some paths I could think of but nothing worked for me.

I’ve now removed the obscurity for now. I’m also attaching a few screenshots for you to see ( https://we.tl/t-W2mvnIgB5K ). These are my current settings. If I use “abcd” for obscurity, what would the “Serve font files from…” path then?

Also after removing external Google fonts stylesheets. my ‘Menu’ Text jumps a bit when loading the website for the first time. This used to happen even before OMGF was installed, but now it has increased more. I don’t know how to fix this menu font transition. I’ve tried changing to ‘BLOCK’ from ‘SWAP’ in OMGF, but it didn’t work.

I’m not a dev person and novice with WP. Your help will be very much appreciated.

Sorry for bothering you with multiple messages. I found this documentation and understood the path structure well now. Although OMGF is not loading fonts at all even if I use The right structure. Sending you a screenshot of settings. Now it’s not working and loading the default SERIF font. ??

Sorry for the late response.

The path in the ‘serve font files from…’ option should be relative. So you shouldn’t include your domain, but it should start with a ‘/’, which is basically everything that follows after https://yourdomain.com.

Yes, I understood that mistake later. I remade the website to try a new theme ‘KadenceWP’ afresh. And just two days back tried reinstalling OMGF to test (keeping wp-hide deactivated) and found it has got a complete new UI and easy mode. Although it couldn’t find any Google Font on the website, so I’ve kept it deactivated for now seeing in the support section that you’re already fixing issues. I think it’s compatibility issue with my new theme and how they are implementing things differently; not sure.

Currently my website has maintenance mode plugin on. If you’d like to test, I’ll deactivate that temporarily.

I just tested OMGF v4.2.1 with KadenceWP and you’re right, it doesn’t detect any fonts. It’s not OMGF’s fault, though ?? KadenceWP uses an unconventional method to add fonts to WP’s head.

I tested it with OMGF Pro, too. And since OMGF Pro scans the entire document, regardless of how it is added, it does detect the fonts. So, if you’d like to use OMGF with KadenceWP, the upgrade is required. You can purchase it here.

Yes, their methods are unconventional, I saw that too. Thank you so much for testing it. They probably have their own solution to host local fonts in their pro version. I’m not sure though. I’m just learning WP and it’ll take me a long time take this site to live mode. Thank you for letting me know that OMGF-Pro is able to do this. I’ll definitely consider it later.
