I received a security alert from Webroot that the BoldGrid link to the Cloud WordPress site is a phishing site and possible threat. I am unable to log in to the site and continue building my website because of the block. I submitted a ticket to Webroot about the link and received the following confirmation from Webroot/Brightcloud:

“We have reviewed?hxxps://demo2[.]cloudwp[.]dev/trial-295uyz58/wp-admin/admin[.]php?page=boldgrid-inspirations, and determined that it does not need to be changed at this time based on BrightCloud’s classification criteria.

It is currently classified as Phishing and Other Frauds in the BrightCloud Service and available in Database version 8.799.

You can read our Database Change FAQs for more information on the most common reasons why your suggestion may not have been implemented.

    Thanks again for your suggestion!

  • Hi @quenchandnourish,

Thanks for reaching out. The issue seems to stem from a 3rd-party adding the demo2 hostname to their database, classifying it as “Phishing and Other Frauds.” If the IP address associated with the shared hostname has a bad reputation due to previous malicious activity, the entire hostname may be blocked. Unfortunately, this is beyond our control, and the link in question is listed in multiple databases, potentially causing access blocks for users relying on database checks.

Dealing with such reports can be challenging, as the reported site shares a hostname used by various sites and users. If one website is involved in phishing attempts, the shared hostname may be blocked to prevent unsuspecting users from accessing the fraudulent website. Resolving the issue can be difficult because it may require engaging with the relevant database providers and possibly educating them about the shared nature of the hostname.

Thank you and we do apologize for any inconvenience.
