    Hello.

I’m working on a new website, and I’m planning to install Contact Form 7 with Flamingo in order to allow clients to upload files that I can access later.

(If you’re not familiar with how Flamingo works, it’s a separate plugin that works with Contact Form 7 to store the messages users send directly in WordPress, including any attachments. That’s what I mean when I say “upload”…)

The files will be mainly in PDF, Word and OpenDocument formats.

My question: Is allowing clients to upload documents a huge security issue?

Generally speaking, allowing users to upload arbitrary files can potentially lead to a security issue. To minimize the risk, Contact Form 7 employs multi-layered verification process. So, I’d say it’s safe as long as you use it properly.

    Hey thanks Takayuki!

Nice to meet (at least virtually) the author of this great plugin!

By the way, is there a way I can change the text of the attachment button from “Choose File” and “No file chosen” to something else?

Also, is it possible to attach multiple files at once? (Currently, my form needs three buttons if someone wants to attach 3 files… It would be great if they can attach as many files as they want with just one button…)

You should have opened a new thread for the different question though, the answer is “No” to both.
