Security Issue being Flagged

  • iThemes is flagging the plugin for security issues

    WP Word Count <= 3.2.3 – Admin+ Stored Cross-Site Scripting

    Is this why wordpress made this pluging unavailable for downloads?

    Please fix this issue and get online soon, I really want this plugin for a site I am using

    It looks like it’s abondoned at this point, I used their contact form on their website, but no reply.

    The plugin is now permaently closed on the plugin directory (I assume that wp.org didn’t get a repsonse either).

    I’ve soft forked it with an update to address the security issues over at https://github.com/toolstack/wp-word-count.

    I’ll give redlettuce another week or so and if I don’t hear back I’ll probably hard fork it and rename it.
