• Hello,

I have installed WooCommerce Bookings and WooCommerce Deposits on my site. My product is a rental space. The space costs $300 to rent. I would like customers to book the space and pay a security deposit of $200. Then, 2 weeks before the booking, I would like to send an email/payment request for the $300 space rental. Then after the booking is complete, I would refund the security deposit of $200 (if all went well).

I have almost the entire process working on my site to accommodate this.

    1. The customer creates the initial order, pays the $200 deposit and the order confirmation shows future payment for $300.
    2. I send the remainder invoice 2 weeks before booking for $300 which creates Order #2 and the customer pays.
    3. When the booking is over and I want to give the $200 security deposit back I issue the refund on the 1st order for $200. The refund goes through- however the customer gets an email notification stating the order was cancelled (not refunded) and they have a future payment of $300. See this screen cap: https://www.screencast.com/t/ODtNaeji

To make this long story problem short – how can I refund the security deposit back and show the customers order is complete- not cancelled? How can I also show they owe 0 with no future payments? The booking is over and they owe nothing.

Thanks for your help! This is my first post on this forum so please go easy on me if I was too wordy! ??

Sounds like this is a question related to Bookings/Deposits – please open a support ticket with the developers of those plugins directly as this support forum is only geared towards the core WooCommerce plugin.

    Thanks!
