Security along other security plugins

  • Hello.

    If I use this plugin, do I still need to use iThemes or any other security plugin? Does this plugin substitute iThemes or do I need both?

    I am asking because if the one can cover the other, I don’t want to use both.

    This is an amazing plugin by the way.

    We don’t intend to replace the other security plugins out there.

    Our purpose is to add an extra layer of protection (not available in the others), in order to prevent hacking attempts.

    Hide My WP Ghost is compatible with iThemes Security and we recommend using them both for increased website protection.

    We have many customers who use them together successfully, as they complement each other.

    So, if you are already using the iThemes plugin, we don’t recommend replacing it, as it has many complementary features that do a great job protecting your website.

    Thank you for your fast response and clear instructions.

    If I have enable on both the Firewall Against Script Injection will that cause any kind of conflict? In general the common features, if they are activated in both plugins will the cause a conflict?

    Glad to help!

    It’s not a problem to activate both filters. At most, it stops at the first protection filter, but this way it is safer that it does not pass both of them in case a filter did not include all attack scenarios.
