For some reason the security of Events Calendar is now allowing for non-users to beable to view the contents. I have protected the pages by setting them only to be opened if they are part of a group. This worked fine in the 3.7.1 wordpress but now with the updates to 3.9 it leaves the door open for anyone to look.
Hope you can fix this problem.

I really love your plugin, I do, but would you mind terribly to start using the WP update process to modify/update your plugin. When you don’t, those of us that are running viable security applications get a TON of alarms on our sites when authors update this plugin remotely using what I am guessing is an executable script within your plugin.

Many, many thanks for all you do!

    Hi abaco1944,

If you have parts of your calendar that are limited to certain users, you must have done some customizing or be using a third party plugin to do that, as it’s not a built in feature in The Events Calendar. As outlined in our forum guidelines, we aren’t able to help with or support customizations. But we do have some handy resources that might be helpful for you:

? Themer’s Guide – provides an overview of how to customize the plugin’s frontend appearance.
? Tutorials – useful tips and tricks for changing how the plugin looks and behaves.
? Technical Docs – provides an overview of the classes and functions in each plugin

Good luck, and thanks for using The Events Calendar!

Thanks for your note. I will bring this up with our developers and get back to you. While I appreciate you bringing this to our attention, next time it would be great if you could start a new thread instead of adding to an existing one. Thanks!

Thanks for getting back to me fixed the problem.

    Howdy toggerybob,

Thanks for taking the time to post here. We do appreciate feedback like this. Could you perhaps include a copy of all the errors our plugin generates for you when you update? Also, when you say “use the WP update mechanism”, to what aspect of the API are you referring? Could you link to it in the codex for me? While I did not write our update script, from what I have seen of it uses the WP API to the fullest extent possible. Thanks again!

My problem did not get resolved and I ended up deleting the Events Calendar Pro. I am using another program at the present time that is definatly inferior to Events Calendar but I had no choice as I did not get any solution to my problem of I am using wp 3.9 with The Events calendar 3.5.1 and The Events Calendar Pro 3.51 If I set up a single event, it shows perfectly with time and everything as set. But all recurring events in the weeks to follow show different time – being two hours ahead. I tried deleting the whole system and re-installing but still with same results. I will re-install when I get an answer.
