I would like a popup to appear after a time delay, then reappear on exit intent *if* a lead submission was not sent (for example, when the user clicks outer screen or closes the pop up).

If a lead submission is sent in the first appearance (closing is not a submission), the popup should not reappear on exit intent.

I have a pop up set to trigger on delay and on exit intent, but after clicking out of the 1st appearance (no lead sent), the popup doesn’t reappear on exit intent.

Is what I’m attempting possible? If so, how?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi ??
The first trigger that occurs will activate the popup. We build it this way on purpose, better UX for your visitors.
If you want it to show up twice (delay & exit), then duplicate the popup, and change the triggers so the first one will be with a delay trigger, and the other one will be an exit-intent trigger (or vica versa).

In case you don’t want the second one to show up (after submission of the first one), you can achieve it with cookie targeting:

Cookie targeting sounds like the missing link I was looking for, but looks like it is only for paid accounts. Sounds like what I’m attempting won’t be possible unless I pay, even if I don’t have anywhere near the 1000 views. Am I understanding correctly?

It also looks like cookie targeting is the way cart abandonment functions are implemented. That feature is prominently highlighted on the (free) plugin description, with no mention of it being a premium feature. Is the cart abandonment recovery possible in the free plugin?

I get it on the UX, but depends on the situation too. In businesses where returning users are unlikely, an exit offer before they go (if they’ve not responded to a previous offer) may be worth doing. After all, they’re leaving anyway. Granted many businesses won’t fall into this category, but then again, many do.

It would be interesting to do A/B testing in that specific scenario (1 popup vs 2, in businesses that usually have only 1 chance to convert buyers).

    Thanks for your help.
