• As I’m building an online newspaper and magazine, it’s very important for me to have a second title above the main one, and I don’t know of any free or paid plug-in that does the job. So again, sincerely thank you very much.

I only use Secondary with posts-list widgets, it’s almost perfect, I just regret that it stops working with AJAX when loading a new posts-list page.
For your information, I use several widgets on Elementor Page Builder, and the ultra-light “Hello” theme made by the Elementor team.
And today, I have a very odd problem.
Normally, the plug-in works fine with all the different plug-ins I use to display post lists.
However, bugs appear if I use in the same page the shortcode of the Directory Pro plug-in. Some titles disappear from the widgets with a frequency I don’t understand. I did some tests and found that :

    – Titles disappear AFTER the Directory Pro is displayed in the code. Titles before the plug-in are displayed normally.
    – The number of titles to disappear in each posts-list widget seems random.

Of course I wrote to the author of Directory Pro, and he found a bug WITHOUT using his own plug-in. Here is his answer:

“We have created a new WP site with only the “Secondary Title” plugin activated, and then created 2 blog posts both with a secondary title. Then when we view the blog archive page, we see that the secondary title shows up fine for both blog posts on the main content section however it shows only for “1st post” in the “Recent Posts” WordPress standard widget, as you can see in the first screenshot attached (first_screenshot.png). Then when we go to the single post page of the “2nd post” blog post, in the widget we now see the secondary title for the “2nd post” but not for the “1st post”, as you can see in the second screenshot attached (second_screenshot.png).

We have not modified any setting of the Secondary Title plugin from the default. Can it be that there is some kind of problem with the Secondary Title causing the issue on your site?”

    I attach his screenshots here : https://prnt.sc/vshrak

As for my personal case, here is my normal homepage WITH the Directory pro plug-in on the right column (this part of the site on the right: https://prnt.sc/vshsat). You’ll see that some red titles disappear AFTER Directory Pro is activated –> https://www.canalanimal.fr

You can also compare my homepage, with a clone of this same homepage, but without Directory Pro here, and there everything is normal: https://www.canalanimal.fr/accueil-canal-animal2/
Well, I don’t know if you’ll have the time to look into the problem, but if you don’t and you know another plug-in, even a paid one, that does the same thing as yours, please give me the references.

    Best regards,

    Micha?l

    Hi,

    Sorry for the late reply.

I’ve toyed around a bit but can’t find a solution for this individual case. Maybe if you gave me an entire dump of your site so I can test it locally (or a staging environment online), I’d invest some time to find a solution for you.

    Hi thaikolja,

    Thanks for your answer.
As i said before for all my post titles. And i confirm you that Directory Pro put BEFORE thoses posts make disappear some (not all) of Secondary Titles. No such issue if Directory Pro is put after.
I can give you credentials to my website if you give me your mail.
You can write me to [email protected]

    Thanks again for your support.
