Secondary Title is showing html code in WP comment area

    Hello,

    I love your plug-in. However, I’ve encountered a problem. In disabling WPDiscuz and going back to native WordPress comments, the secondary title along with it’s html code is appearing in the comment section. The problem resolves when I turn off Secondary Title, but I like Secondary Title and would like to keep it.

    This is my secondary title field: [[ %title%<br><span style=”color:#585858;font-family:Courier;font-size:20px;”>%secondary_title%</span> ]]

    Can you think of a fix?

    Hi @rsobczak,

    Thanks for forwarding this issue to the appropriate forum.

    Since you’re using the GeneratePress theme, you should be able to use the generate_comments_title_output filter to strip out the Secondary Title formatting.

    Are your PHP skills enough for that or do you need any assistance?

    Thanks @thaikolja,

    I’m using version 6.0 of WordPress and the GeneratePress Theme.

    About your suggestions: (1) I turned off “Auto Show” to add manually, but it seems like I have to add a line of php? And do I have to add that every time the theme gets updated? (2) Not sure about the JavaScript approach, I’ve never worked with it.

    I was wondering if a third way would to be to add the Advanced Custom Fields Plugin, create a new field, and locate it using a hook or block element?
