• Hello everybody,

In the process of trying to edit my navigation menu, I seem to have made a mistake that changes the way that the specific menu item is displayed.

I am working on the Main Menu of my website, https://humanconnections.org.

I am using the Enfold theme, version 3.2.3. I am working on the top level of the Main Menu, making this issue a little pressing because I saved the menu and then was unpleasantly surprised when the issue below arose. I am using UberMenu as well.

Previously, the text under “title attribute” displayed as a second line of text under the “Navigation Label” text. For example, the navigation label was “University Students” and, underneath that, it said “EXPERIENCE” in a larger font.

I was in the process of changing the link that the top level because we wanted it to go to the first website in the submenu and not the landing page. I added a new menu item, changed the labels so as to be identical to the original post but with a different link. I then deleted the original menu item and made all the submenu items underneath the new one. Now, it only displays as “University Students” but does not show Experience. What should I do?

    Thank you!

    Alex

  • Well, that is both a commercial theme and plugin, so I am going to start with: Per the forum policy, for commercial products please contact the provider(s) for support. It is difficult to troubleshoot without having access to the code.

What I can see just from using developer tools is that the rest of your menu items have a <span class="wpmega-item-description"> and the item with the issue does not. If you click the dropdown “Screen Options” in the top right while editing your menu, is there anything that looks similar to “item description” checkbox? If so, make sure it is turned on and look for that field on the parent menu item. This is just a guess since I do not own either that theme or that plugin.
