I’ve had to completely remove and re-install this plugin, and I did something different in both cases, and was wondering something.

The first time, I did not have a specific page called Events (‘/events/’) created, so I believe I was prompted to create one. No problem.

After I had to remove the plugin and reinstall it, I had the Events page already, and after I activated the plugin, it created a new Events page (‘/events-2/’), and underneath this new Events page it added a page for each of Categories, My Bookings, and Locations.

    My questions:
[1] Is this normal? Should I not have been prompted to place them under the already existing Events (‘/events/’) page?
[2] Are these 3 pages just category archives that can be deleted if I don’t need them?
[3] Can I delete the extra Events page (‘/events-2/’) without affecting my functionality? This page, along with the other three, all have [CONTENTS] as the only thing in them, but I am using FullCalendar on the /events/ page.

    Thanks!

  • Hi,

yes, you can removed extra events/categories/locations page and this won’t affect any EM functions. also, to re-assign pages see options page at Events > Settings > Pages

    1) if you uninstall/reinstall, then yes, we can’t tell if that page is specifically made for us when installing onto a random wp site, so it’s safer to recreate our own

2-3) yes, you can just delete any of these pages and assign new ones in our settings page. If they don’t contain inportant content, they’re just ‘containers’ for our content.

Thank you. It might be the lack of sleep from having five kids and having to work late, but it just seemed strange that if there wasn’t an events page on install, then none would be created by the plugin, but if there was an events page already then it would create a separate one.

As always, thank you both for your timely support. And for a great plugin! It is really slick. I have to strongly consider going PRO just because I think you deserve the money. =)
