    Hi,
I have successfully installed WP (in Polish language) and run my first blog on my computer. Now I want to make a second blog (in English), also on my localhost, with a completely different database.

    I have done the following:
    1.downloaded English version of WP,
2.unpacked it into WebServers/home/myenglishblog.us/www (my first blog with Polish version of WP is in WebServers/home/mypolishblog.pl/www), 3.created a new database Myenglishbase (in addition to Mypolishbase), 4.changed wp-config.php in myenglishblog.us/www (in fact I made a copy of my wp-config from my Polish blog and changed only the name of my database, because the user and the password are the same and the prefixes can be the same since I have two different databases).

Now I try to install this second (English) WordPress by running https://myenglishblog.us/wp-admin/install.php in my browser (just as I did in the first time with https://mypolishblog.pl/wp-admin/install.php) but Firefox says: Firefox can’t find the server at https://www.myengshblog.us. Why?

  • Does https://www.myengshblog.us point to 127.0.0.1?

The problem resoved… but I don’t know how I did the trick. I turned off my notebook for two hours, then I turned it on again and there was the login page with some horrid warnings about “Headers already sent”. Now it was much better than simpy “can’t find the server”. So I deleted wp-config.php and wrote once more all nesessary info into wp-config-sample and renamed it wp-config.php BUT this time I did it in Notepad not in Notepad++
