Seasons Versus Competitions

I am running a free Billiards Tournament. We have 2 tournaments a year. A summer season and a winter season. So, I’ve created those seasons. We have several teams and each week 2 teams meet at one of the teams sponsored bars and play. So, we have 2 teams playing at different bars at the same time.
I currently don’t have any ‘Competitions’. I’ve been playing around with added Week 1, Week 2, Week 3 as additional seasons as 1 play may play on Week 1 but not on Week 2. I was also considering using Competitions. I have a Winter 2015 top level competition and then added the same child competitions for each week as each week is a team competition.

So, what should I use? Add the weeks as seasons and change each event (match) signify Winter 2015 Competition and the Week 1 Competition or use weekly seasons?
