Searching wpDataTables?

  • So far Relevanssi seems to do what we need. Off the bat, it understands how to search shortcode content, which makes it find things in our Link Manager! It also appears if we go Pro, it will also search our PDFs (is this correct?) but what it does not seem to do is find anything in our wpDataTables.

    Technically they are shortcodes… [wpdatatable id=2] but no luck. Is this handled in Pro, and we missed the note, or is this a no go?

    Correct, Relevanssi Premium will also include PDFs (with caveats outlined here).

    Relevanssi should be able to index wpDataTables table contents, if you just enable the shortcode expansion from Relevanssi settings. However, wpDataTables is a complex thing and it may well be that some tables do not work with Relevanssi. But basic tables should; I’ve tested and there were no problems.

    What kind of tables you have where you have difficulties with Relevanssi finding the contents?
