Searching within page causes WordPress tabs to freeze

Yeah, froze up Chrome and Firefox.

Have you tried searching while your plugins are off?

Do you have the W3 Cache plugin installed? I’ve been getting the same freezing problem occasionally since installing that one, and I just deactivated it and the search now seems to work.

Nope, I don’t have that plugin.

Now it is touch and go. Sometimes it will freeze, other times it will not. It does it with no plugins, too.

I am facing same problem at chrome (Windows 7), firefox and chrome(ubuntu) is working fine to me.
I have W#3 cache plugin. I feel this problem is due to Browser not on WordPress.

If it’s the browser, it’s Chrome in Windows 7, as that’s all I’ve been using.

Are you using any addon on chrome. I faced this issue with SEO status installed.

Extensions currently running on my copy of Chrome: Send Using Gmail. Send From Gmail. LastPass. Polaris Insights.

I can confirm this problem is due to Chrome only. I faced this problem yesterday. I need to reboot my computer. its happen to me when i had open multiple(10-15) tab

That would make sense. I’ve generally got 8-10 tabs open at any given time.

It froze the page in Firefox and Chrome for me, even with just two or three tabs open.

I am not sure may be reason is following.
you have opened theme editor in more than 1 tab.

Let me explain when i faced this problem i opened css to edit on one tab and another to edit some template file.
