Searching these forums

  • Is it just me, or does the search option not work for these forums?

    Suppose I do a search for, say, “password”, using the Search box at the top of the forum page. I get a page saying there are 61,000 results and showing links to the first 10. I click the link for the next page of results, and it shows me results numbered 11 through 20… but they’re the SAME ITEMS as were listed on the first page. No matter how many times I click “Next Page”, all it changes is the numbering. I can’t actually see any results beyond the first 10.

  • Well, it wouldn’t be a surprise. Search is always broke I think…. Hopefully, podz or someone else with “authority” will see this latest report and see if it might get fixed (AGAIN *sigh*) some time in the next year.

    In the meantime, try using the site: type of search in google.

    Some behind the scenes stick poking seems to have caused the proper eyes to look at the problem and fix it.
