Searching slideshow feature

    I’m searching for a slideshow, but it has to do the following:

    1) get the featured image of a post
    2) cycle through the latest posts of 1 specific category
    3) able to resize pictures

    The website it will be used for is this https://www.mj-roofs.be/wordpress/
    I’d like a slideshow on the front page, cycling the featured images of the 10 latest posts in the category “Referenties”. I’ve added a lightbox gallery to each post in that category and set 1 featured image to each post.

    I’ve tried loads of slideshow, nivo slider, featplug (can’t get it to work), Feature slideshow, Featured post slideshow,… But none of them fit my needs. Any advice?
