Searching product variations

Hello,

Are the product variations not indexed in the search?

For example – The main product is “Maybelline lipstick”

Now this product has 5 shades. So, if someone is searching by shade (product variation) the product doesn’t show up.

I’ve looked through the plugin settings and did not find anything apart from “Search in attributes”. What would this do exactly?
Will this solve my problem?
