    Hello,

I am setting up a corporate intranet on Windows Server (it’s a private and static IP, so I can’t share the URL), where employees will be able to use the site as a resource for their daily job functions, protocols, and more.

I would like to be able to create a structure so that like files are grouped together in their own (sub)directories. For example, forms go in a forms directory, letterheads go in a letterheads directory, graphics like corporate logos go in a graphics folder, and so on. I don’t mind using the default WordPress directory “wp-content” as the parent directory and it would be find to put all subdirectories in that directory, but I would prefer to use a directory that is at the same level as the “wp-content” directory if at all possible.

Does this plugin allow users to use the basic WordPress search function to search for and find files that are outside the default WordPress directory? Ideally, they would be able to search for and find the files that are in the subdirectories within “wp-content.” A super-huge bonus would be if I could put those company files outside of the “wp-content” directory (e.g. the same level, structurally speaking, would be good).

What I would like to avoid is having all of the files preceded with a “our-intranet.org/wp-content/directory-name/file-name” and basically completely bypass the “wp-content” part of that if possible.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank You,
    Brett

    Hi @modalweb,

Thanks for the prompt reply! How can I configure a search form to look in directories other than wp-content/uploads?

There is search field in file manager, you can use that field.

Thanks, @modalweb. I guess what I am really looking for is a “regular” search form on a normal page, not showing the file tress. This search form then searches all of the directories and generates a list of results based on the search criteria.

Can we do something like that?

@brettroby you can try shortcode for front end. Please visit given link.

This looks good, and I saw that earlier before starting this ticket originally. I would purchase that add-on if it does what I am requesting above. If you can promise that, I’ll make the purchase now.

Please keep in mind the following attributes of the application:

    1) The search form needs to be “normal” in appearance and function well on mobile devices.
    2) The plugins will be installed on a corporate intranet with a static IP that is unreachable to the outside network.
