For some reason, as soon as i updated the CCTM plugin, my client is unable to use the search field in the relation thickbox.

For now, i would like to downgrade to a previous version until this issue is fixed as my clients site is live. the thing i want to know is, after i have exported my definitions, and i delete the plugin and install a previous version:
    1. would i lose all data?
    2. would i have to rearrange all my data again?
    3. would i have to import my definitions?

Is there an easier way of downgrading.

    thanks for your help

    Plugin Version: 0.9.7.11-pl
    WordPress Version: 3.6
    PHP Version: 5.2.6
    MySQL Version: 5.5.28-29.1
    Server OS: Linux

For the record, no guarantees are made or implied. I cannot guarantee anything on anyone’s site.

Downgrading/reinstalling the plugin should not cause any data loss, but it is always a good idea to keep a backup of your content-type definitions on hand (that .cctm.json file) and to ensure that your site and your database are being backed up regularly. You should be able to replace the entire contents of the plugins/custom-content-type-manager/ directory with an older 0.9.7.x version and no other changes are required. Uninstalling the plugin isn’t strictly required (or desired) since it deletes all options from the wp_options table. If you do a full un-install, then you must have a backup of your fields and definitions (under CCTM –> Tools –> Export). If you overwrite the directory in place, the definitions in the wp_options table will remain unchanged.
