I’d like to alter Tablepress so that when three characters of text are entered into the search box the table filters (Majority of my users’ searches are “Music” and “Art”) At this point Art will not cause the filtering, as the minimum length of text is set to 4.

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

To be honest, I don’t really understand. What minimum text length are you refering to? TablePress does not impose such limits during the search.

    Thanks tobias!

I have a listing of databases sorted by category. If I type in the search bar 1 2 or 3 letters it does not begin to filter, once a 4th character is added it filters my table.

Is there anyway to have the filter start at 3 characters?

    Thanks!

    Hi James,

that’s weird and I’m pretty sure that this is not caused by TablePress.
Can you please post a link to the page with the table where this problem happens, so that I can take a direct look? Thanks!

    Regards,
    Tobias
