Searchable portfolio collections database theme / plugin

I’m an intern at a nonprofit.I have been tasked with finding (if possible) an existing theme or plugin that would enable searching a database of artwork. . Just throwing out a net hoping for suggestions of a theme that: has preset fields, about nine of them, to accompany uploaded photos in which we can put information about the art piece (including artist, use, location, description of the artwork, etc); has galleries into which uploaded photographs will go; can be categorised and sub categorised, etc.
I have looked at portfolio theme which look great but don’t seem to have the searchable by keyword and filtering by category flexibility.
I am fairly new to Coding so would appreciate your insight.
