Searchable external and categorised posts – Is it possible?

    Hi guys,

    I have been digging around the internet without any luck.
    Basically, I have two sites:
    – site1.com
    – site2.com

    I can obviously pull content from the one site using xml. I want to be able to make that content searchable from the WordPress search and be able to filter using the post categories. Something tells me that is not entirely possible – especially the categories filter (seeing that the content is not on the exactly in the database).

    If this can work – is there a recommended plugin? I can’t seem to wrap my head around it…
