Searchable Database. Help!!

Hi guys,
I’m a basic wordpress user who wants to have a small (20 to 30 people) visual database on my wordpress site. The thing is, I want this databse to be searchable with a few choice parameters on the side to select from (or type in, whichever is easier). Then, I want to be sent a notification or e-mail every time some one clicks on a name (after searching) on the database.

How do I do this?? Can someone provide me a free plugin to do this or some base code to implement it on my own? (I’m almost zero at programming but I do play around a bit with pre-made code to change parameters).
