• Hi there,

Off course, a database is searchable ??

But before i commence with a lot of work to search out how everything works and as i’m limited in time to search everything here at the forum, i have 1 important question

I want to set up a complete dbase for aircrafts with pictures open for public.

So, can i set up this plugin so that i can show a limited of searchpatterns where people can choose from to obtain the asked information???

Please take a look at this page to see what i mean

As you can see on that page, people have 5 option to input info to get the complete info about type of aircraft, ect.
If you fill in FA01 by serial you will see the result, but i also want a picture with it.

Can i also add pictures with url?
    eg
I’ve uploaded already a lot of pictures in my Media and since they have an url, it would be nice to add them that way, otherwise i’ve got to upload them twice

    Thanks for the answer(s)

Hmmm, somehow you deleted the url, but from “As you can see …..” everything is connected with the url ??

Multiple-field search is coming as a premium add-on soon. If you’ve got some coding expertise, it is something you can build yourself. The plugin uses templates for the shortcode displays, so you can easily incorporate custom code.

As to images accepting a URL, it is possible, I haven’t got it set up so it’s easy at this point: there isn’t a way to just enter an URL into an image field. The workaround is to use a regular text field for your images, then in a custom template, change the field type to an “image upload” which will then show the image. So it takes a little coding to get that done.

    Sorry, no coding expertise ??

But you say that the multiple-field search is coming soon as a premium add-on
    When is “soon”???

Soon is probably next week, I’m in the final stages of setting up my website to provide the add-ons.

Nice, keep me informed please ??

Will it be with clickable thumbnail (if picture is included off course) to get a full view of the picture or must i still have to do what you earlier said???

No, sorry, the ability to enter a URL in an image upload field hasn’t been implemented yet…it’s a little complicated because I need to figure out the best way to do it. It is on the short list of new features, though.

    Hi there again,

Tabels are working great, thanks for the effort!!!

    BUT

When you use images, you can’t scroll anymore within the window, and the layout is screwed

I don’t know exactly what the problem is, but you may need to include some custom CSS to resize the images.

Indeed my mistake, forgot to adjust the marker to let you see the where you could find the problem

    Please take a look @ 14 and 15
The text and pictures are outside the infowindow

    https://www.inaviapress.com/spotterplaces/world/europe/belgium/

    And also one other thing
Isn’t it possible when you close the infowindow, that the map centers itself back like it was???
When you close that infowindow, the people have to “search” for the other markers by moving the map

I see…this hasn’t got anything to do with my plugin, so I’d suggest asking your question in a support forum for Google Maps. I don’t know the solution, so I can’t really help.

    Oooops my mistake ??

    Indeed, wrong forum

    Sorry

Already some progress with the multiple-field search???

Hello – I’ve added both [pdb_search] & [pdb_list] shortcodes to a page. I cannot get any search results to show for known records.

Here’s the error from the console:

    list-filter.js?ver=4.6:117 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'top' of undefinedscroll_to_top @ list-filter.js?ver=4.6:117dispatch @ jquery.js?ver=1.12.4:3r.handle @ jquery.js?ver=1.12.4:3trigger @ jquery.js?ver=1.12.4:3a.event.trigger @ jquery-migrate.min.js?ver=1.4.1:2(anonymous function) @ jquery.js?ver=1.12.4:3each @ jquery.js?ver=1.12.4:2each @ jquery.js?ver=1.12.4:2trigger @ jquery.js?ver=1.12.4:3success @ list-filter.js?ver=4.6:173i @ jquery.js?ver=1.12.4:2fireWith @ jquery.js?ver=1.12.4:2y @ jquery.js?ver=1.12.4:4c @ jquery.js?ver=1.12.4:4

Typically, you only need to use the list shortcode with search enabled in the shortcode:

    [pdb_list search=true]

the search shortcode is used when you want the search control to be in a different place or on a different page.

more details on using the list shortcode here…

Perfect. I confess I was being hasty. And failed to find the documentation. Thank you so very much. This is a really great plugin.
