searchable custom database

I have a database with schools which I have uploaded to mysql. For each school I have name, location, type of school and a URL to the schools website in said database. Now I’m searching for plugin or a tutorial for coding that would allow me to search this database based on Name & Location & Type, and display search results bellow the search form. If I searched by location I’d need the plugin to display all schools in that region with all their data. The closes plugin I could find was the Custom Searchable Data Entry System plugin. But it’s not exactly what I need. I need it like they have it set up on this site, but a bit simpler…
