• Hi.

I’m updating my site to use the ‘Blocks’ version of the Custom Post Type Widgets but it seems that the new Search widget does list/use the custom post types. The search width code in class-custom-post-type-widget-blocks-search.php doesn’t seem to call any filter for custom post types like the other widgets.

I’m wondering if this is intentional or just an oversight.

I’ll take this opportunity to also thank you for your contribution. Your widgets are important to my ‘amateur’ site.

    Thank you.

    Hi again.

Upon further investigation it would seem that the following widgets have same issue:
    Search (Custom Post Type)
    Latest Comments (Custom Post Type)
    Calendar (Custom Post Type)
    Archives (Custom Post Type)
    Latest Posts (Custom Post Type)

The drop down list for Post Type always only shows a maximum of four items. And since I have five custom post types and the list also contains ‘All’ and ‘Posts’, only two of my custom post types appear in the drop down list. The order they appear in the list matches the the order they were created.

Now this may not be a problem with the Custom Post Type Widget Blocks plugin but a bug up stream. Regardless, it is affecting the plugin functionality directly and renders it useless. Since I’m not familiar enough with all this I’ll leave it to others that know more to track down the source of the problem.

    Wordpress v6.0.2 freshly installed
    Theme Twenty Fourteen v3.4
Custom Post Type Widget Blocks v1.5.0

    All the best.
