Search Returns as list, not grid – how?

    Hi:

    Is it possible, with existing blocks, to have my search returns appear in a list, with the linked page name, an excerpt and “read more”? If not, can you recommend a plugin?

  • Hi @vytaulla51 how the search results are displayed depends on the theme you are using. If you are using one of the block themes with the Site Editor like Twenty Twenty Three & Twenty Twenty Two you can use the templates to customize the search page.

    I figured it out – needed to change the number of columns of the Post Template in the Query Loop from 3 to 1, then remove the featured image block, the author & date stuff, and add an Excerpt Block and Read More block.
