Search Results shows featured image

Hi,
All my search results on website and google search for tags, shows featured image in search result.I tried setting .search-results .entry-featured{ display:none; }
but with no effect.
Also note, that I had copied code of content-featured.php to content-standard.php.
This I did because I wanted the featured image for all the posts on my home page.
Is this creating featured image in search results? If yes, will you be able to give me a solution ,to have featured image for all my posts on home page only?
