If I do any sort of search, the search results page comes up with the word ‘Search’ and then under that, ‘Search Results’.

I only want it to say ‘Search Results’, so how do I get rid of the ‘Search’ above?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi @barquerole,

Sorry that you ran into issues here!

BD has the separate sections to make it clear to users what each of them represents. If you do a search and you get the wrong results, 90+% of the time they want to try again with another search, which is why we have that section.

You could try to hide it with custom CSS, but that may create a detrimental experience for your users because of what I said above.

Here is an article about how to use custom CSS with Business Directory in a way that doesn’t get overwritten on upgrade of BD: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/support-forum/faq/how-to-use-custom-styles-with-bd-2-1/

Since I am using a child theme, there is no issue about custom CSS getting overwritten by any upgrade.

I think you’re misunderstanding what I am saying. The search results take you to a page that is titled ‘Search’ and has ‘Search Results’ underneath, which is confusing and looks incorrect – many users have told me this.

The word ‘Search’ doesn’t bring anything to the party. It’s not as though you can click on it and do another search.

In the event, I wrote some custom CSS and got rid of it.
