    Hi

I have installed your plugin and Auto complete works great. When I type the product in, and I see it AUTOCOMPLETES and gives product results which is great. It shows the Product image and Title etc.

The issue I’m having is if you DON’T click on one of the products in the AUTOcomplete area, and just click on button ENTER for the full search, then it goes back to the Home Page and displays all those relevant Products from the search but very differently. It has a drop down menu called “Show Post Results” and “Show Page REsults” .. then it shows the Products with date added I assume ) and TITLE of product and an arrow. There is NO image on this page. You can scroll down and find the other products in this list, but it is ONLY a list, and NO image and all show a date which we don’t want. I dont’ want it to show the date and don’t want the drop down menu NOT needed at all. How can I fix this view on this section ? I would prefer it to look like the other Search area where it shows the Product Image, and Title and Info.

Just to note that it ONLY happens on the MOBILE & IPAD and NOT THE COMPUTER … It displays the results normally on the PC or COMPUTER.

It’s the mobile where the VIEW is differently when clicking on ENTER on the MOBILE & IPAD.

How can I fix this please for MOBILE & IPAD so it displays the products like it should showing the Product Icon Image, Product Description, Price in the RESULTS.

    Regards

    Kristin

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

Could you please share your site URL where it’s happening so I can troubleshoot it?

    Best regards,

Can I send a shortcode link that lasts only for so long ? I don’t want the URL showed permanently only temporarily.

What software can I use for this here ?

    Thanks

It is on the HOME PAGE on MObile & IPad under the Header.

Also I have ticked one of your settings, that allows the Search ICON to show on the MOBILE Device on the Header ALSO.

When I test the one with the icon on the Header on Mobile, it does NOT autoComplete when you type in.

When I test on the one under the Header, it Autocompletes no problem and shows the products available. How can I HIDE the Short Description if I need to as it looks bit messy with all the information there in the Search Results if it includes the Short Description. I like how it shows the Product Title AND Product Image which is definately required which is great. It is great that it shows a pricing as well. So this is Auto complete view .

But remember when I click on the ENTER button, then it displays a completely different view which I don’t want at all. It needs to display ALL the products relevant to what I typed in to the Search Bar, but it shows Just Products as TEXT (No Image – Not a good format like the other on Auto Complete) and NO Picture .. and on the left side it has a drop down menu says “SHOW POST RESULTS” and “SHOW PAGE RESULTS” which we don’t need this either.

We ONLy want it to show the relevant products to what the Customer has typed into the Search Bar.

If you could help would be greatly appreciated as the Owner is bit frustrated about this issue.

    Thanks

Please make sure that you have configured a search form in the Menu Search options as shown in the below screenshot.

You can hide the description from the below path.

Admin Area -> Ivory Search -> Search Forms -> Edit Search Form -> AJAX

I tested it on your website and it displays products and its images on the search results page.

    Have you resolved the issue?

    Hi

    Thanks for your reply.

I have been able to remove the Short Description in the AutoComplete. I found the setting. And it all shows the Image, Title and Pricing which is fine in here.

BUT when you type in for example “Angel” and hit the ENTER button, it still shows
You searched for Angel – Show Post Results .

Then shows Date of Post/Product, and TITLE but NO Pricing and NO Image.

This is under the Header area I am referring to where I have added in your Search function button.

If you could double check and type in the “Angel” and Click the Blue button for ENTER and you will see the issue I am referring to.

AutoComplete works fine no issues. It’s when you click on the BLUE Button in the Search like ENTER key that is where it DOESN’T display as it should like the other area you already see.

    Please advise urgently.

    Thanks

I tried going through ALL the settings of the Plugin to see WHERE and HOW I can fix this issue … Couldn’t find the right area. I was looking for something that says POSTS

You cannot see the drop down that says “Show Post Results” and “Show Page REsults:”

That is the FORM AJAX Search Form for WooCommerce I am using and added

AND also to NOTE, that I have added the little ICON symbol in header for MOBILE only and it does NOT AUTO COMPLETE to find products in here at all. Is there an issue with that MOBILE ICON that sits in the header top right corner to FIND the products ?

And when you click on “ENTER” button on this one also, it displays INCORRECTLY with the date of Product Post, TItle but NO Image and the drop down again.

We need to be able to stop this somehow.
Client is bit cranky about it, so I need to resolve it pretty urgently

    Thanks

The search results page is displayed by the search.php file of the theme that you are using on your site so the plugin doesn’t control how the products and their images will be displayed on the search results page but your site theme controls it.

You can change this developing custom code in the search.php file of your child theme by contacting the theme author or consider hiring a developer to develop it for you. You can hire a developer from any freelance site or WordPress agency.

You can also consider hiring us to develop it for you using the form https://ivorysearch.com/custom-work/

    Hi, Thanks for your reply.

Not sure whether you are entirely correct. I have another search function on the site in the header already, and when you click on enter, it displays the search results correctly. If it was a Theme issue, then it would do the same issue here .

Just to clarify, your plugin actually works with that search function on ENTER on the PC no issues. It is on the MOBILE ONLY . Ipad is actually OK as well. So it is NOT to do with the Theme I would say.

I really need to rectify it somehow urgently for the client.

    Thanks Kristin

Please try enabling the search form option as shown in the below screenshot to display search results the same as your website header search.

    Any other thoughts ?

I changed it in the Ajax Search Form for Woocommerce as that’s the one I’m using. I haven’t changed the setting in the Ajax Search Form directly as I haven’t added that in.

The easiest way for me to get AROUND the issue quickly, is just to ADD some CSS Coding to the Mobile version only to REMOVE the Blue Search button I have on the right side.

Same for the icon on the Header on mobile also from your plugin.

Can we just have that icon NOT clickable under Header for mobile only ?

Then that will get around our issue quicker.

If you have a look at what it looks like on actual mobile you will see the “Search here …” box and then on the right of that the blue search button ICON … So we just stop that being clickable and leave the ICON there and that RESOLVE my issue entirely … I would be happy with that.

    Hopefully the client is.

The auto find in the Search works well.

    Thanks

    Kristin
