    I’m currently evaluating Ivory Search. It certainly has a lot of search options, but precious little in the way of how results are displayed.

    I am using Foo Gallery with thousands of images. Unfortunately foo gallery doesn’t offer a full search of all galleries, only individual galleries. I was hoping Ivory would help.

    But, there are no thumbnails shown in the results for media. And only a single column of results. I was also hoping that clicking on a result would open in an installed lightbox. But sadly no. In short, the results are very ugly, and not very useful.

    Is there a way, outside of custom coding, to get better and more functional results?

    I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

    The search results page is displayed by the search.php file of the theme that you are using on your site so the plugin doesn’t control how the results for media will be displayed on the search results page but your site theme controls it.

    You can change this developing custom code in the search.php file of your child theme by contacting the theme author.
