Search result page customization

    Hi,
    I have few questions about search result…

    1) In which page used for search result, is this search.php as default search result functionality ??
    2) Can I customize the search result to matched my site UI? In search result page can I change the article permalink with another third party URL or remove permalink if needed?
    3) For customization is there any requirement to change the core file of this plugin or can I use default search.php page and default wordpress search functionality for search result?

    Hi, my responses:

    1) it depends, if in the “Settings admin page” you enable “Use plugin search page” the search result will be automatically integrated in the theme search page. You have to do nothing, otherwise if “Use plugin search page” is disabled you have to write by you own hands the search page.. in this page you have to put the async calls to the API.

    2) for customize the result you can change the “Content box type” value to custom, create a file that is used to draw a single result.. in this file you can change the URL as you want.

    3) there is no needs to change the core, customizing the “Content box type” you have the opportunity to change the result layout, and if you need more customization in the search page you can write you own search page in your theme without modifying the plugin.
