Search result inaccuracies

  • I’m having trouble with search results not showing, or rather, showing posts that shouldn’t be appearing. I have 4 taxonomies set up that are all drop down boxes on the search form, operator is AND and each of the dropdowns are set to IN.

    For some of the results, if I choose say Europe as one of my filters, I’m getting a couple of posts returned that are not set to Europe in their relevant taxonomy. (I have other instances of this too).

    Go to Explore, set Specialism to Politics and Location to Europe, the results are fine until you scroll down, the Ada Lovelace post is not set to politics.

    Do you use other plugins for the search? Plugin such as relenvenssi will interrupt the search.
    Also, check with default theme to see if it the theme issue.
