Search/Replace taking too long on relevanssi_log

    I created a copy of my production site and renamed it with “dev” in it’s name.
    Using search/replace (SRDB by interconnect/it) is taking forever on relevanssi_log.
    It has “4709505 rows in set”.

    This is just a dev site.
    Do I really need to do a search/replace in relevanssi_log to keep my dev site operating properly?
    Can I just blank-out the table?
    Is there an option to clear it/reset it and rebuild it under the new name?

    There’s nothing in the wp_relevanssi_log table that needs to be renamed to create a dev site. It’s just the search history. You can truncate the table.

    Relevanssi has a log trimming feature in the settings. You should enable the log trimming on the production site as well –?if you keep all log entries forever, at some point the search will slow down to a crawl.
