Search & Replace Field with Blank or No Data

I would like to do a search and replace within a table that takes a date field, 2018-01-01 and replaces the date in that field with no data whatsoever (makes it blank while still keeping the blank field intact). I want the field there for the date, but I just don’t want anything in it at all – does that make sense?

How can this be done in the application? Thanks!
