    I have a problem with the correct Search Query. What, in fact, is the correct format of a search query? If I use the one I use in the search bar on twitter.com and Tweetdeck it returns nothing or something very different…

    This is the search string I used: pia_ogp OR ivan_OGP OR susanne_OGP OR suzanne_OGP OR lydia_OGP OR harry_OGP OR govertvo OR gerard_OGP OR roy_ogp OR casper_ogp OR marjan_OGP

    Also I don’t understand why in this case first the older tweets (1 or 2 days old) are loaded and than after 10 seconds orso, the newest are shown…

    The Plugin doesn’t control the script; rather, it just wraps the Twitter-provided script into a WordPress Widget.

    As far as I know, the search query expects a simple search string, rather than complex Boolean search criteria. Try just “ivan_OGP” or one of your other terms?

    As for how the Tweets load: that’s entirely controlled by the API call provided by Twitter. I’m not even sure they really support the underlying script itself, with all of their API changes. (I guess I’ll find out in a couple weeks!)

    When I use << pia_ogp OR ivan_OGP OR susanne_OGP OR suzanne_OGP OR lydia_OGP OR harry_OGP OR govertvo OR gerard_OGP OR roy_ogp OR casper_ogp OR marjan_OGP >> I see 1 result in the widget. The link at the bottom of the widget brings me to a Twitter search that actually shows more results (2 tweets). But those are only the ‘top’ tweets. If I click ‘all’ tweets I see a lot more tweets. Could the difference be the search in ‘top’ tweets in stead of all the tweets? Can I change and test this somewhere in the codes of the widget?

    A second test with search string << (delfland OR #delfland OR delflandse) >> including the ( ), gave an exact same list as the ‘all tweets’ search in twitter… Another test with string << museon OR #museon OR @museon (lang:nl OR lang:en) >> gave a perfect language filtered list of tweets. I don’t get it, why the string I wish to use is not working as expected…

    That’s the thing: the Widget is just a wrapper for a Twitter-provided script. The Widget just defines parameters that get passed, and the parameters are limited to the options exposed in the Widget. Beyond that, it’s a “black box” from the Widget’s end.

    I don’t get it, why the string I wish to use is not working as expected…

    Unfortunately, that would be a question for Twitter.

    I believe new users on Twitter don’t have the credibility, orso, to be shown. It must indeed be a ‘black box’ with some black filter rules…

    I managed my way around is for now.
