  • Hi,
To search with custom fields value you have to use “More Filters” option. In search form beside “Search Listing” button there is another button called “More Filters”. By clicking on it will expand more search filtering option. Here you will find your custom fields, place the search value in the custom field and click on “Apply Filters” button.

Note: To show custom fields in search form you have to set “Include this field in the search form?” to “Yes” in settings page of custom field.

OK, I saw that but, what motivated my question, was that in the search field of the widget, if we enter a word or a value contained only in the custom field, the search engine find it, if we do the same in the main search field (by short code in my homepage – [directorist_search_listing]) he will not look in this table and therefore does not offer the complete result. And this without going through an additional filter.

Sorry I made a mistake. Searching with short code as with the widget will not search in custom fields. It’s unfortunate that the search is limited to the title, text and summary … and then have to go through a detailed search
