Hi first of all, I’d like to say thanks for the great multilanguage solution. It’s the best I’ve tried.

I’m getting some problems into my search page.
I’ve been working with 2 languages (pt-BR and en).

When I search something in portuguese, it works, but the same not happens when I try english.
    For example:
In one of my posts, the post title is 1T16 in portuguese and 1Q16 in english.
When I search 1T16, it works, the page bring me the result, but when I search for 1Q16 it returns empty results.

Hope you can help me and congratulations for the plugin’s success

  • Hello, thanks for feed back!
But are you doing the search from a portuguese or an english page?
Normally if Portuguese is your primary language and english is sub, search should send results for portuguese words when user is on a portuguese page and results for english OR portuguese words when user is on an english page.

    Hey,

When I’m in on portuguese page I do the search by term ‘1T16’ which is a name for a portuguese post, but when I do the search in an english page by the term ‘1Q16’ which is the english version from the post 1T16 I get no results.

Just to explain my scenario: I don’t have a search page into page post type, I’m using the default search.php in my theme, that could be the problem?

    Thanks!

No it should work fine… Did you try to deactivate other plugins? What theme do you use?

I’m using my own theme. Maybe any hook could be causing the problem?

    The activated plugins are:
    – CMB2
    – MCE Table Buttons
    – Redux Framework
    – Regenerate Thumbnails
    – Sublanguage

It works fine on the default theme with the exact same plugins installed, so the problem must come from your theme. Is there something that is hooked for altering a post query?

    Hey Maxine.

Sorry for delay, you were right. I was hooking a function that was changing the post query, I’ve fixed and everything worked fine.

    Thanks again!
