    Hi there!

We’re sorry, you’ve given so little details that we can even comment on the issue. If you are looking for a solution, please provide detailed information so that we can recreate the issue, please include settings, and what fields you have used for search, and anything that help us recreate the problem.

For example, what field you setup for search, and what did you try, and do you have nice permalinks on, etc. We may need more information – so please join our forums so you can attach private replies to us.

    Thank you.

    Hello,
I can confirm that the search option is broken.
I am providing a link to the zip file containing 13 screenshots, showing different aspects here Screenshot Zip File on Google drive
All the files have been named to convey the meaning.

    Brief steps overview :-
    1. I have used WP 4.1.1, Twenty Fifteen Theme. Localhost installation with MAMP latest version.
    2. Created one post having the content “The quick brown fox jumped over a lazy dog”. I thought I will use this to test the theme’s search widget itself and see whether it can list content of a post and whether it can list a Member’s detail.
    3. Created one page to place the directory shortcode.
    4. No other plugins except UM.
    5. Created 4 users with first and last names etc.
    6. Enabled the Search option in the directory, with first name only as a searchable field.
    7. Placed the short code for the directory in the single page created in step 3.
    8. Launched the site from the dashboard.
    9. Proceeded to the directory page
    10.It listed all users
    11. I searched for a first name exactly from the directory
    12. It returns the Sorry message
    13. The I tried in Theme’s search widget. That too returns Not Found message
    14. To verify if search widget is working, I searched for “quick” from the theme’s search widget and immediately the correct search result pops up.

Hope I am providing enough information for you to reproduce the bug. If there is anything more you needed, I will be glad to provide.

Since you have asked in the previous email, whether there are permalinks to the original person who has asked you, I thought it will be relevant here. No, I do not have permalinks on the install when I reported this few minutes before. Is it a permalinks issue?

    Hi anakrish,

Have you created the users using UM form or in backend?

    Thanks!

Do you mind if you give me wp-admin/FTP details to debug the issue for you (but need to be done through our forums please)

    Thanks also
