Search only working if keyword exists. Otherwise no function.

    Hey,

    there are mysterious things going on.

    When I use the default wordpress name="s" search, it only works and gets me to the search.php if a match is found.

    Otherwise nothing happens, the URL doesnt change to /?s= as it should.

    What could be the issue for such a habit?

    messed up search.php

    Just reset your search.php and you are good to go.
