Search not working on WP Editor box (backend)

  • Hi there!
    I’m experiencing an issue with the Search function on the Search Box of the WP editor. Whenever I try to add a link back into a post or page I use the search box of the editor to find the right internal page I want to link to. This was working till the last update of the relevanssi plugin. Not sure if there is a conflict with anything else. Cause WP was displaying a box with the new editor version which is not installed on my website.
    Any tips and advice on how to solve this? Thanks so much for your help!

    Hi Mikko,
    the search box that appears on the backend of any post or page when you edit the content and want to link to another internal page. You click on the link icon and a small search box appears so that you can search among the hundreds of pages/posts for easy location. I assume this is also managed by relevanssi isn’t it?
    I could add a screenshot but I see that here I cannot attach any file.

    No, Relevanssi should not do anything with that search. I just tested it, and on my sites, Relevanssi does not interfere with that search.

    Does it work if you disable Relevanssi? What about other plugins?

    yes, I have tried to deactivate Relevanssi but it still does not work. I will have to try with each other plug in, to make sure there is no conflict with other plugins. I’ve got a notification recently that WP has released a new version of their editor, I didn’t install the new version and now there are issues, not really sure whether this may be the cause, though. Thanks again.

    Ok, if deactivating Relevanssi doesn’t help solving the problem, the problem is caused by something else than Relevanssi.
